Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across various areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning equipment.
• Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces and restocking supplies to promote health and hygiene.
• Operate cleaning machinery efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks, including minor repairs or reporting issues for prompt resolution.
• Support industrial cleaning projects or residential painting tasks as needed to uphold facility standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning processes.
• Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the proper use of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following safety protocol adherence and chemical handling safety procedures.
• Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices with an emphasis on safety protocol adherence for all tasks performed.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
