Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and safety are upheld. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition.
• Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
• Maintain facilities by performing minor repairs, reporting maintenance issues promptly, and assisting with general upkeep.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests for cleaning or maintenance assistance from staff or visitors.

Experience

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
• Experience operating cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety procedures related to chemical handling and heavy lifting.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and general upkeep is advantageous.
• Previous porter experience or residential painting background can be beneficial but is not required.
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices throughout the shift.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
