Custodian Maintenance

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Custodian Maintenance professional to join our facilities team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized environment across our premises. The ideal candidate will possess strong custodial and maintenance skills, with a focus on sanitation, floor care, and equipment handling. Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning of all areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces, adhering to established sanitation standards.
• Handle chemical agents safely and in accordance with chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without hazards.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and general upkeep of facility surfaces.
• Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; ensure proper storage and usage.
• Follow safety protocols consistently to promote a secure environment for all staff and visitors.
• Support facilities maintenance activities by identifying issues requiring professional repair or service.

Qualifications

• Proven custodial or janitorial experience with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning procedures.
• Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safety protocol adherence.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors.
• Basic facilities maintenance skills including minor repairs and painting.
• Prior porter or maintenance experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
