Custodian Maintenance

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian Maintenance to join our facilities team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces, using appropriate cleaning equipment.
• Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards; perform minor repairs or report issues to maintenance teams promptly.
• Operate cleaning equipment efficiently, including vacuums, floor buffers, and industrial cleaning tools to ensure optimal cleanliness.
• Maintain sanitation standards by properly disposing of waste, replenishing supplies, and ensuring all surfaces are hygienic.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
• Support general facilities maintenance activities such as painting touch-ups or light repairs as needed.
• Follow safety protocols consistently to ensure a secure environment for all staff and visitors.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility-related inquiries courteously and professionally.

Qualifications

• Proven custodial or janitorial experience with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures is preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools is preferred.
• Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with safety protocols.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices.
• Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $22.03 - $29.08 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
