Custodian/Maintenance Worker

Position Summary: Forty Fort United Methodist Church is seeking a dependable and self-motivated individual to serve as a part-time custodian. This role ensures that the church’s facilities are clean, safe, and ready for use, and that the premises are well-kept and presentable year-round.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, offices, and public areas
• Vacuum, mop, dust, and perform general cleaning duties
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles
• Set up and take down furniture for services and events
• Perform minor repairs and basic upkeep tasks

Hours: Up to 15 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours based on church needs.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license required
• Current PA ACT 34, ACT 114 and ACT 151 clearances required
• Experience in custodial work preferred
• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
