Join our team as a Custodian/Maintenance Worker!

Bring your problem-solving skills to a team that keeps the facilities serving Santa Barbara County’s schools and families clean, safe, and running smoothly. As a Custodian/Maintenance Worker, you’ll perform a variety of custodial duties, including floor care, restroom and surface cleaning, and setting up rooms for meetings and events. You’ll also handle semi-skilled maintenance work such as basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry repairs, and help secure our buildings by checking doors, windows, and alarms. Along the way, you’ll work with your assigned supervisor and colleagues across sites, providing great service to the people who rely on our spaces every day.

General Description

Under the direction of the assigned supervisor(s), perform a variety of custodial and maintenance duties required to maintain buildings in a clean, secure and operable condition.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Two years of experience in custodial and maintenance duties, preferably working in a school setting.

Comments and Other Information

Compensation: $56,448.00 - $65,004.00 annually (salary step increase upon successful completion of 6 month probationary period).
