Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian/Maintenance Worker to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper maintenance of our facilities. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain high standards of cleanliness
• Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures
• Conduct minor repairs and preventative maintenance on fixtures, lighting, and equipment to ensure optimal operation
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas by following strict sanitation protocols
• Support facilities maintenance activities such as painting, minor repairs, and ensuring safety compliance throughout the premises

Skills

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools
• Strong understanding of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently, including heavy lifting and moving supplies
• Excellent customer service skills to interact politely with staff and visitors when needed
• Basic facilities maintenance skills such as minor repairs, painting, and troubleshooting equipment issues
• Knowledge of safety protocol adherence in a custodial or maintenance environment to prevent accidents or hazards

Pay: From $16.78 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16.0 per week
