Custom Fabricator

Bill’s Custom Fab, Inc. is expanding our custom fabrication department and seeking an experienced Custom Fabricator to join our team. We are looking for a skilled, mechanically inclined individual with a strong background in fabrication, blueprint reading, and welding.

The ideal candidate takes pride in producing quality work, has a strong work ethic, communicates well with others, and understands the importance of safety, teamwork, and dependable attendance.

This is a full-time opportunity for an individual who enjoys hands-on work and turning fabrication plans into finished products.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and project specifications.
• Perform custom metal fabrication according to project requirements.
• Complete welding tasks using appropriate welding processes.
• Measure, mark, cut, fit, and assemble metal components accurately.
• Use hand tools and fabrication equipment, including grinders, squares, clamps, torches, and plasma cutters.
• Ensure fabricated products meet quality standards and project specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow established safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate effectively with team members to complete projects efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in the fabrication industry required.
• Strong blueprint-reading and interpretation skills.
• Strong welding skills; experience with multiple welding processes is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with common fabrication tools and equipment.
• Experience using grinders, squares, clamps, torches, and plasma cutters.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Experience fabricating with pipe is a plus.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
