Location: Arcadia, Ohio

Reports To: Location Manager

Classification: Full-Time, Hourly

Position Summary

The Custom Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely application of dry and

liquid agricultural products while maintaining company equipment and facilities. This position

plays a key role in supporting agronomy operations by providing exceptional service to Legacy

Farmers Cooperative customers while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and

teamwork.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Safely and accurately apply dry and liquid crop inputs according to delivery tickets,

application standards, and company procedures.

• Operate sprayers, spreaders, and other application equipment in a safe and efficient

manner.

• Mix, load, and handle fertilizer, chemicals, and other agronomy products in accordance

with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Assist with crop nutrient inventory management and product handling.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and preventative maintenance on company

equipment and facilities.

• Read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions while continually learning

new skills and procedures.

• Work independently and as part of a team to meet seasonal operational demands.
• Maintain compliance with all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and

applicable federal, state, and local laws.

• Provide excellent customer service while representing Legacy Farmers Cooperative in a

professional manner.

• Assist other departments and perform additional duties as assigned to support the

overall success of Legacy Farmers Cooperative.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; OABA Student Credential is a plus.
• Applicator License required or the ability and willingness to obtain one within the

timeframe established by the company.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat

endorsement.

• Working knowledge of agronomy operations and the safe handling of fertilizers,

chemicals, and crop inputs preferred.

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, seasonal workloads, and varying work schedules.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully

perform the essential functions of this position.

• Frequently bend, squat, twist, climb, kneel, reach, and work above shoulder level.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold,

rain, wind, and dust.

• Stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.

Work Schedule

• Standard work schedule is Monday through Friday.

• Overtime, weekend work, and extended hours are required during seasonal peaks and

as business needs dictate.
