Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Custom Picture Framer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, cutting, and assembling custom picture frames to meet clients’ specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with woodworking tools and machinery, possess a strong eye for design, and prioritize safety in all tasks. Duties

• Measure and interpret client specifications to create custom picture frames that meet aesthetic and functional requirements.
• Use power tools for woodworking, including saws, drills, and other machinery, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
• Operate woodworking machines to cut wood construction materials accurately for frame components.
• Cut glass and mat boards precisely to fit within custom frames, ensuring clean edges and proper sizing.
• Design and assemble picture frames using various materials, including wood and other construction supplies.
• Handle power tools safely at all times, adhering to safety guidelines related to power tool use and woodworking machinery.
• Use specialized equipment for mat cutting, glass cutting, and frame assembly to achieve high-quality results.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.

Experience

• Prior experience in picture framing or woodworking is preferred.
• Familiarity with power tools used in woodworking, including saws, drills, and sanders.
• Experience working with woodworking machines and handling construction materials such as wood panels and framing supplies.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to power tool operation is essential.
• Ability to interpret design plans or client specifications for custom framing projects is advantageous.

This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship skills, familiarity with woodworking tools and machinery, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
