Custom Residential Painter

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Custom Residential Painter to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, scraping, caulking, drywall repair, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
• Apply paint using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting with conventional and airless paint sprayers, and construction spray techniques
• Interpret technical drawings and color schemes to accurately execute design specifications and color matching using visual color comparison skills
• Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment safely to reach high or difficult areas while maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations and respiratory protection protocols
• Perform structural painting tasks on surfaces such as stucco, drywall, woodwork, fixtures, and other architectural features during renovation or remodeling projects
• Conduct surface preparation for construction painting projects including priming, sanding, patching, and coating application to ensure long-lasting finishes
• Maintain a clean work environment by managing debris and properly storing tools and materials while following safety protocol adherence at all times
• Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and project specifications for commercial or industrial painting projects when needed
• Install fixtures or perform handyman tasks related to remodeling or maintenance projects as required

Experience

• Proven experience in residential painting with a strong understanding of construction estimating, surface preparation, coating application, and finishing techniques
• Familiarity with construction site experience including renovation projects and remodeling environments
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless spray systems), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding equipment
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction painting including respiratory protection measures and proper handling of hazardous materials
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately for precise color matching and surface treatments
• Experience working with drywall repair, caulking, stucco finishes, fixture installation, and general handyman tasks preferred
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for estimating material needs and project planning
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently on construction sites while maintaining high standards of quality and safety

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
