What they need
Why You Want to Work Here
- At CDK Stone, we're more than just a stone business, we're a people business. Our people are at the core of everything we do, and you'll join a team that values communication, organisation and follow-through as much as you do. If you've spent your days on reception, on the phones, or keeping an office running you already have what this role needs.
- This is a genuine way to start your finance career. No accounting degree, no prior finance job required. We'll train you from the ground up, with a structured program and a mentor who'll show you the ropes until you're confident handling it yourself.
- You'll work Tuesdays and Wednesdays from our Dingley Village office and the rest of the week from home, enough in-person time to learn from the team, enough time at home to focus.
About You
- You've got a natural way with people, clear on the phone, and calm even when a conversation gets tense.
- If you say you'll call someone back Thursday, you call them back Thursday. Not because anyone's checking, but because you follow-through on what you say.
- A loose end bothers you. A form thats half-filled, an email sitting unread, something filed in the wrong place is something that you notice before anyone else points it out.
Role Responsibilities
- Processing customer payments, allocating receipts and maintaining accurate debtor records.
- Following up overdue accounts by phone, email and other channels, using a calm and professional approach to support timely payment outcomes.
- Monitoring customer credit limits, supporting credit control processes and assisting with trading terms.
- Preparing, updating and processing invoices, credit notes and account adjustments with a high level of accuracy.
- Reconciling customer accounts, investigating discrepancies and preparing debtor, ageing and cash collection reports for management.
- Working closely with sales teams, managers, customers and external parties to resolve queries, disputes and payment issues efficiently.
Selection Criteria
To be considered, you’ll need:
- Customer service or administration experience
Candidates with prior experience in accounts receivable or credit control will be highly regarded.
