Customer Analytics, Specialist (Data Analyst)

Job Purpose:

AIA Thailand is seeking an experienced data analyst / scientist to join our Customer Insights and Analytics team . You will provide problem solving, data processing, data modelling support to the Customer Marketing – Digital X team, working closely with business user teams, customer research team and MIS to facilitate sale & marketing purposes. These include campaign management, customer behavior analytics, customer segmentation, retention and repurchase (up-/cross-selling) tactics and strategy recommendations

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Problem Solving and Development of Analytical Framework

• Provide analysis support to Existing Customer Marketing team in areas of campaign management, customer segment management, product gaps, etc., to support retention, resell (up-/cross- selling) and customer relationship management activities
• Tackle business problems from top down to bottom up. Ability to ask the right, relevant questions, develop hypothesis and framework, while keeping in mind practical workplans and timeline to arrive at insights

2. Data Processing and Analysis

• Determine data requirements and methods to collect and validate data, based on analysis objective. Structure, mine and make sense of data from external and internal data sources
• Apply data mining, statistical analysis, machine learning techniques to turn data into actionable insights, evaluate alternative solutions and predict outcomes
• When applicable, create dashboards and prototypes as working solutions for business users
• Provide inputs to Data Warehouse team on additional data fields to load to data warehouse

3.Written Reports and Oral Presentations

• Present insights in written format (management update, reports, slide presentations)
• Communicate insights to business users with ability to break down technical concepts into easy-to-understand lingual

4. Business Engagement

• Work cross-functionally to establish solid relationships with business teams and stakeholders. Obtain clear understanding of business requirements and data-driven opportunities to initiate potential projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other quantitative field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
• Hands-on experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL, and statistical tools such as R, Python or SAS is critical
• Self-driven individual with strong will to learn, tackle the unknowns and contribute to the team and organization
• Team player and leader critical. Self-initiator highly valued.
• Highly analytical and quantitative, with strong attention to detail
• Hands-on experience with Visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or equivalent preferred, but not a must as long as you have the drive to learn
• Good understanding of statistics and data modelling techniques
• Capable of story-telling, excellent verbal and written presentation skills in English
• Ability to engage across and with various teams and disciplines with the company
