About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and reliable Bar Assistant to join our team. This is a varied and hands-on role within a busy hospitality environment, ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys delivering excellent customer service.

Applicants must be aged 18 or over due to licensing regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently and professionally.
• Maintain high standards of service throughout every shift.
• Take food and drink orders using an iPad-based ordering system.
• Welcome customers and engage with them to create a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere.
• Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and assist customers with enquiries.
• Manage table bookings and reservations accurately.
• Update and maintain booking boards and reservation systems.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe bar and premises.
• Support the wider team during busy periods.
• Help promote the business through participation in social media content and posts.
• Demonstrate flexibility by learning and working across different areas of the business, including food preparation and cooking duties where required.
• Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organised, and presentable.
• Follow all health, safety, and licensing requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Aged 18 years or over.
• Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
• Hardworking with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Confident speaking with customers both in person and over the phone.
• Comfortable using technology, including iPads and booking systems.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on different responsibilities across the business.
• Takes pride in their work and maintains high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Flexible and available to work evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
