CUSTOMER DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE (IOD)

PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Customer Development Associate (International) supports the growth and expansion of the company’s international business by managing customer accounts, coordinating export operations, and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies across global markets. The role focuses on strengthening distributor relationships, driving sales performance, and ensuring efficient order and delivery processes in the FMCG sector.

SPECIFIC SKILLS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the execution of international sales strategies and plans to achieve export targets.
• Manage day-to-day coordination with international distributors, partners, and key accounts.
• Process and monitor export orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Logistics, and Regulatory teams for export requirements and documentation.
• Assist in market expansion initiatives, including onboarding of new distributors and clients.
• Monitor sales performance, inventory levels, and market demand across assigned countries/regions.
• Track competitor activities, pricing, and product trends in international markets.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, documentation, and product requirements.
• Support trade marketing initiatives and promotional activities for overseas markets.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates for management.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Manage and monitor the International Operations Division's (IOD) payables related to freight, courier, customs brokerage, and other logistics service providers and coordinate with Finance for timely processing and payment.
• Monitor and track International Operations Division (IOD) expenses related to international documentation requirements, freight forwarding, and customs brokerage services.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, or related field.
• At least 2–4 years of experience in international sales, export, or FMCG-related roles.
• Knowledge of export processes, documentation, and international trade regulations.
• Strong coordination, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to coordinate across different time zones and cultures.
