What they need
- Perform enhanced customer due diligence (CDD) and verify customer identity during onboarding and periodic reviews;
- Review and validate KYC documents, beneficial ownership information, and customer details;
- Assess source of funds, source of wealth, and the nature and purpose of the customer relationship;
- Obtain additional supporting documentation and corroborate the legitimacy of wealth, income, and business activities for high-risk relationships;
- Conduct sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening in line with AML/CFT requirements;
- Perform periodic KYC refreshes and ensure customer information remains current and complete; and
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready customer records.
