What they need

Glasgow | Customer Events Representative | Full-time

You are naturally easy to talk to, articulate, and comfortable striking up conversations with people from all walks of life. Rather than hiding behind a screen or answering emails all day, you prefer being out on the floor, answering questions face-to-face, and making sure people have a clear, positive experience with a brand.

If you enjoy a active, social role where your presence and communication skills directly shape how customers view a service, this full-time role in Glasgow will suit you well. We are expanding our regional promotions team and need a dependable Customer Events Representative to represent our key clients across local venues, pop-up stands, and community events.

Core Responsibilities

In this role, you will be the face of our campaigns at live customer touchpoints across the Glasgow area. Your daily work will include:

  • Engaging directly with members of the public at hosted events, venues, and promotional stands.
  • Presenting product and service information clearly, accurately, and persuasively to prospective customers.
  • Answering customer enquiries on the spot and addressing any initial concerns with a friendly, professional manner.
  • Assisting event visitors through registration processes or simple promotional sign-ups.
  • Gathering direct customer feedback and reporting common questions back to the project manager.
  • Helping set up and maintain clean, organized, and brand-compliant event spaces each morning.
  • Tracking daily visitor interactions and logging sign-up numbers accurately at the end of each shift.
  • Collaborating with team members to keep event energy consistent and welcoming throughout the day.

Profile and Background

We place far more value on your interpersonal skills, reliability, and willingness to learn than on a long list of previous corporate titles. We are looking for:

  • Strong verbal communication skills and a confident, polite face-to-face manner.
  • High personal standards for reliability, punctuality, and personal presentation.
  • An approachable attitude that makes people feel comfortable asking questions.
  • The physical stamina and energy required for active, floor-based work.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit event team.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, retail, customer service, face-to-face sales, or university student union activities is a plus, but not essential as full training is provided.

Skills Development and Progression

We believe in structured, practical preparation so you feel fully equipped before stepping in front of the public.

During your onboarding, you’ll shadow experienced representatives to learn client messaging, event compliance, and customer engagement techniques. You’ll have brief, regular check-ins with your team lead to review your interaction confidence and receive practical feedback on your approach. As you master the core campaign details, you will have opportunities to help train newer team members, assist with event site coordination, and take on lead roles for specific campaign locations.

What We Provide

  • Competitive base pay
  • Performance-based bonuses linked to event targets
  • Comprehensive initial training on brand messaging and customer engagement
  • Daily team briefings and ongoing one-to-one coaching
  • Hands-on experience across live event delivery and customer relations
  • Regular team social events and group incentives
  • Recognition for high engagement standards and customer satisfaction
  • Clear pathways to take on team lead and event coordination duties
