What they need

The Customer Experience (CX) Advisor plays a key role in delivering targeted advice and meaningful engagement to support customer satisfaction and long-term retention across the Cooke Howlison Group. This position helps shape an exceptional customer journey through proactive communication, relationship management, customer retention initiatives, and service support, working with multiple brands and departments throughout the organisation.

As Otago's largest automotive group, Cooke Howlison Limited has been a trusted name in the industry since 1895. We proudly represent a number of leading automotive brands and are committed to pairing great people with great brands while delivering an exceptional customer experience across every part of our business.

In this role, you'll support customer relationship and retention programmes across the Cooke Howlison Group, ensuring every interaction reflects the high standards our customers expect. Working closely with multiple dealerships, service departments and internal teams, you'll help deliver a consistent and outstanding customer experience throughout the customer journey.

We're looking for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent computer skills, and a genuine enjoyment of variety in their day.

To be successful in this position, you will:

  • Bring confident communication skills, a friendly and outgoing manner, and proven customer service experience.
  • Assist with a range of administration tasks, database management, customer communications, and contribute to maintaining franchise standards and customer satisfaction across the Cooke Howlison Group.
  • Have call centre experience (preferred but not essential).
  • Be comfortable working across multiple brands, departments and systems while managing competing priorities.

We offer excellent working conditions and the opportunity to become part of Otago's leading automotive group.

While automotive industry experience is beneficial, full training will be provided — attitude, initiative and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service are more important than previous industry experience.

The job also requires that you:

  • Have New Zealand Residency or a valid New Zealand work visa.
  • Hold a current full New Zealand driver's licence.
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

If you're ready for a new challenge and have the drive to make this role your own, we'd love to hear from you.
