Customer Quality Engineer

About the role

Manage and coordinate customer quality issues, complaints, MNC/SCAR/NCR and corrective action follow-up. Act as the Quality focal point for customer communication, quality meetings and issue status updates.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate customer quality issues, complaints, MNC/SCAR/NCR and corrective action follow-up
• Lead root cause analysis (RCCA/8D) and coordinate containment, corrective actions and effectiveness verification with relevant departments
• Act as the Quality focal point for customer communication, quality meetings and issue status updates
• Support customer audits, product/manufacturing audits, self-assessments and closure of audit findings
• Monitor customer quality requirements and ensure requirements are cascaded and implemented internally
• Coordinate site/customer quality issues and follow up until closure
• Prepare and maintain customer quality reports, issue trackers, KPI data and Supporting Evidence

Requirement

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in Customer Quality, Quality Engineering or manufacturing quality
• Strong knowledge of RCCA, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, NCR/CAR and CAPA
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, PFMEA, Control Plan and quality inspection processes
• Able to read engineering drawings and customer specifications
• Good understanding of fabrication, welding, painting/coating, assembly and testing processes
• Strong customer communication, report writing, presentation and cross-functional coordination skills
• Experience in customer complaints and customer audits is preferred
