Since 1951, Telfer has been a one-stop shop for all industrial, commercial, and domestic electrical needs, with thirteen locally owned and operated South Island branches.  Telfer prides itself in working with customers to understand their unique needs to deliver an outcome and service second to none.

We are currently on the lookout for a Customer Salesperson to be based in our Nelson Branch to join our team who also shares our philosophy in delivering outstanding service to our customers, which builds lasting connections.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you be responsible for assisting customers through the sales process and resolving customer queries in the Branch whilst providing a prompt, friendly and professional service.  Monitoring inventory and restocking products are also required.  This is a critical role in building relationships and providing the outstanding customer service that Telfers prides itself on.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have great interpersonal and communication skills and be passionate about delivering great outcomes for our customers.  Having an interest in all things electrical would be an advantage.

Although this position would suit someone with previous sales experience, we are open to employing the right person that fits our team. In return you will be working for a locally owned business that genuinely cares and looks after its people.

In addition to your base salary, we offer southern cross medical care benefits (after three months), and to be part of our employee incentive programme.
