Independent Express Cargo (IEC) is looking for a Customer Service Administrator to join our growing team in Ballycoolin, Dublin 15.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working as part of a team and managing a variety of tasks throughout the day.

Established in 1984, Independent Express Cargo is a leading Irish provider of freight, transport and logistics services.

Operating from our 200,000 sq. ft. facility in Northwest Business Park, Ballycoolin, we provide transport, distribution, warehousing and logistics solutions to businesses across Ireland.

IEC also established and operates The Pallet Network (TPN), Ireland's largest pallet network, handling approximately 3,000 pallets of freight each night.

The Role

As a Customer Service Agent, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our transport services.

You will be a key point of contact for customers, working closely with our transport and operations teams to coordinate deliveries, resolve queries and ensure customers receive a professional and efficient service.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a first point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone and email.
• Tracking and monitoring freight movements, deliveries and collections.
• Liaising with drivers, depots and internal departments to ensure deliveries run smoothly.
• Responding promptly and professionally to customer queries.
• Investigating delivery issues and providing timely updates and solutions.
• Assisting with the planning and coordination of deliveries and collections.
• Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems.
• Working closely with the transport and operations teams to minimise delays and resolve issues.
• Completing general administrative duties and supporting the wider customer service team.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in customer service or administration.

Previous experience in transport, freight or logistics would be an advantage, but is not essential.
