Alongside our established agricultural hardware and automotive parts store, we are a leading supplier of industrial and commercial battery solutions. We also operate a fully equipped fabrication workshop and offer hydraulic pipe repair and replacement services.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hands-on Customer Service Assistant to join our growing team in Market Rasen.

This is a varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers while also getting involved in the practical, day-to-day running of a busy trade counter and distribution business.

You will be responsible for assisting customers, processing sales and orders, handling stock, and supporting our different departments to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Experience in agricultural machinery, automotive parts, industrial supplies or hardware would be a real advantage, although a positive attitude, willingness to learn and strong work ethic are equally important.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Provide friendly, professional and knowledgeable assistance to customers both in person and over the telephone.
• Trade Counter Sales: Assist customers with product enquiries, sales, orders and general advice.
• Stock Handling: Receive deliveries, check goods, organise stock, replenish shelves and maintain a clean, tidy and well-organised working environment.
• Order Processing: Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently for collection or dispatch.
• Inventory & POS Systems: Use our automotive parts and inventory management software to process sales, check stock availability and maintain accurate records.
• Administration & IT: Assist with daily emails, customer enquiries, invoicing and general administrative duties.
• Team Support: Work closely with colleagues across our agricultural, automotive, battery, fabrication and hydraulic departments.
• General Duties: Assist with deliveries, collections and other operational tasks as required.

What We Are Looking For

• Full UK driving licence – essential.
• Forklift licence or previous forklift operating experience – desirable.
• Previous experience in customer service, trade counter sales, automotive parts, agricultural dealerships or industrial hardware would be an advantage.
• A friendly, approachable personality with excellent communication skills.
• A practical, hands-on attitude and willingness to assist with physical stock handling and warehouse duties.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confident computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, email and the ability to learn new stock management systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.
• A reliable, hardworking and flexible approach to daily tasks.
• A genuine willingness to learn about our products and develop industry knowledge.
