Customer Service

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Server to join our fish and chip shop team. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking orders accurately, serving food and drinks, and helping to keep the shop clean, welcoming and well organised.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, enjoy working with people and be able to work efficiently in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take customer orders accurately, both at the counter and over the phone where required.
• Process cash and card payments accurately.
• Prepare and serve food and drinks according to shop standards.
• Check orders for accuracy before handing them to customers.
• Answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients and allergens.
• Handle customer requests and resolve minor complaints politely and professionally.
• Keep tables, counters, serving areas and other customer areas clean and tidy.
• Restock packaging, drinks, sauces and other front-of-house supplies.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times.
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure orders are served promptly and correctly.
• Help with opening and closing duties when required.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties to support the smooth running of the shop.

Previous hospitality or customer service experience is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
