Customer Service Deli Representative

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. You will play a vital part in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers, ensuring that their needs are met with efficiency and professionalism.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their deli selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations.
• Prepare and serve a variety of deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches while adhering to food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including equipment and work surfaces.
• Operate the Aloha POS system for processing customer transactions accurately.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Experience

• Previous experience in a grocery store or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with food safety practices is essential to maintain high standards of hygiene.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Basic knowledge of retail math to assist in inventory control and pricing is beneficial.
• Experience with kitchen operations or sales in the food industry is a plus.
