Customer Service Engineer

About the role

Work alongside Senior Field Service Engineers to install, maintain, and upgrade customer systems, using digital analytics to help pinpoint and resolve technical issues. Support diagnostics and troubleshooting under their mentorship, and perform routine and corrective maintenance across electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems (full training provided). Act as a direct point of contact for customer communication and coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Senior Field Service Engineers on the installation, upkeep, and upgrading of customer systems
• Leverage digital analytics tools to help identify and resolve technical problems
• Perform foundational diagnostics to evaluate equipment and address issues
• Carry out routine and corrective maintenance across electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems
• Serve as a direct point of contact for customer communication and coordination
• Independently manage customer concerns and escalations as they arise
• Take on other responsibilities as needed

About you

• Bachelor's degree required
• 3–5 years of experience in customer or field service support, or a related technical discipline
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
• Demonstrated experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical issues
• Working mechanical aptitude across pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamic systems
• Proficient with hand tools and standard test equipment, including digital multimeters
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Valid driver's license required; ability to obtain a passport if travel is needed
• Ability to meet all on-site requirements, including safety, environmental, and health protocols
