Customer Service （intern）

About the role

Build Ant Design Sdn Bhd is seeking a Customer Service Intern to join our dynamic team based in Penang Island, Penang. This is a full-time internship position that offers you the opportunity to develop practical customer service skills in a real-world environment. As a Customer Service Intern, you will be at the front line of our customer interactions, providing support and assistance to clients whilst gaining valuable experience in the customer-facing environment. This role is ideal for individuals keen to launch their career in customer service and develop a strong foundation in client relationship management.

Key responsibilities

1. Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email, live chat and other communication channels in a timely and professional manner
2. Providing product and service information to customers and assisting them with their questions and concerns
3. Processing customer requests and transactions accurately and efficiently
4. Documenting customer interactions and maintaining detailed records in our customer management system
5. Identifying and escalating complex issues to senior team members when necessary
6. Supporting the resolution of customer complaints with empathy and professionalism
7. Contributing to team initiatives and assisting with administrative tasks as required
8. Learning and adhering to company policies, procedures and service standards

What we're looking for

1. Currently enrolled in or recently completed a tertiary qualification (diploma, degree or equivalent)
2. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in Malay and/or Mandarin is advantageous
3. Excellent customer service orientation with a genuine desire to help and support customers
4. Ability to remain calm, patient and professional when dealing with challenging situations
5. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
6. Proficiency with computer systems and a willingness to learn new software platforms
7. Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering quality work within a team environment
8. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically and suggest improvements
