The Role

Overview

The Customer Service Junior will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to customers and internal teams, helping to ensure battery collections and customer service activities are managed efficiently and accurately.

This position will be suited to someone developing their customer service and administration skills. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced customer service colleagues and gain knowledge of customer requirements, battery collections and transport arrangements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities.

· Respond to customer enquiries by telephone, email and other communication channels.

· Provide friendly, professional and timely customer support.

· Assist customers with general enquiries regarding battery collections, recycling services and collection requirements.

· Record customer requests and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team.

· Follow up on outstanding enquiries and keep customers informed of progress.

· Develop positive relationships with customers and support the wider customer service team.

· Escalate complex or sensitive customer issues to a senior colleague or manager.

· Assist with arranging battery collections in accordance with customer requirements and company procedures.

· Liaise with transport and site operations teams regarding collections.

· Update customers regarding collection dates, changes or delays.

· Ensure collection information, including addresses, battery types and quantities, is recorded accurately.

· Assist with monitoring outstanding and completed collections.

· Escalate any collection or transport issues promptly.

· Maintain accurate customer and collection records on company in house system.

· Enter customer and collection information accurately and in a timely manner.

· Process customer requests, orders, collection bookings and related documentation.

· Assist with preparing spreadsheets and customer correspondence.

· File and maintain customer documentation in accordance with company procedures.

· Support the wider team with general administrative tasks when required.

Skills & Experience

· Confident working with excel and spreadsheets

· Strong IT skills, including competence with Microsoft office and work

· Confident working across departments and coordinating with teams such as Transport, Site Operations, Finance and Compliance.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Professional, reliable and able to work independently.

· Be proactive in being able to identify what needs to be done.

Remuneration

It is envisaged that the remuneration package will be competitive with similar positions.

The benefits package includes:

Pay: £23,180.00 per year
