What Landman does

Landman buys and sells rural land across the country, 200+ deals in 25+ states, and teaches other people to do the same through Deal Engine, our coaching program. We also fund our members' deals: when a member gets a good property under contract, Landman Capital puts up the money. That means we only make money when our members actually close deals. Most coaching businesses sell information. We sell outcomes, and we have the receipts to prove it.

The job

You will own whether our members succeed. Every member who joins Deal Engine has a 120-day path: get their marketing live, send thousands of texts or mailers, make offers, and submit their first deal to our underwriting desk. Your job is to track every member against that path, catch the ones who stall within a week, and get them moving again.

You also own the front door. Our free community on Skool is where members come from. You answer every join, every question, and every DM, and you move the qualified ones to a booked call with our team.

You will not be a help desk. You will be the person who knows, every Monday morning, exactly which members hit their numbers last week and which did not, and who calls the ones who did not.

In your first 90 days you will:

Answer every join in the free community within an hour, every hand-raise within 24 hours, every DM within 48, and move qualified leads to our setter the same day

Run the Systems Call within 24 hours of every new member's Roadmap Call: connect their bank, data, texting, and platform live, and set their first send date

Build and run the member milestone tracker: one row per member, every milestone dated

Run the weekly scoreboard: every member rated green, yellow, or red by Monday at 8am

Run the Day 30 Activation Call with every new member, make the yellow calls yourself, and sit in on every red call the founder makes, then take them over

Keep our underwriting desk honest: every deal a member submits gets an answer inside 48 hours

Capture testimonials within 7 days of every win and run the save call within 24 hours of every cancel signal

Produce the monthly cohort report: what the median member who joined 60, 90, 120 days ago has actually done

Tell the founder every Friday, in writing, where members are getting stuck

Build AI tools to automate your own job: the roll-up, the report, the reminder messages

Who you are

You want to play full out and care deeply about getting results for others. Maybe a coach in a past life!

You have already built something with AI on your own: a scraper, a workflow, a dashboard, a Claude or GPT system for a club or a job. Bring it to the interview.

You have sold something or run something: a campus business, a sales job, a crew at a summer job.

Detail-oriented to the point of being slightly annoying about it. You notice when the numbers don't match.

Comfortable telling someone twice your age that they missed their numbers, and comfortable being told you got something wrong.

You want to own real estate or run a business someday. This is how you learn one from the inside.

You live in Pittsburgh or will be here before you start.
