Customer Service Officer

Job Purpose

To coordinate with customers, understand their interior requirements, provide proper information about interior production materials, and ensure smooth communication between the customer, design, production, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries through phone, WhatsApp, and direct communication.
• Understand customer requirements related to modular interiors, furniture, and interior works.
• Explain different interior production materials and their applications to customers.
• Maintain basic knowledge of materials such as:
• Plywood and MDF
• HDF and particle board
• Laminates and acrylic
• Veneer
• Edge banding
• Hardware and accessories
• Kitchen and wardrobe fittings
• Channels, hinges, handles, baskets, etc.
• Explain material options, finishes, colours, quality, and basic cost differences to customers.
• Coordinate with the design team for drawings, designs, colours, and material selections.
• Coordinate with the production team regarding customer-approved materials and requirements.
• Follow up on production and delivery status and provide updates to customers.
• Coordinate with the site team regarding installation and completion of customer requirements.
• Maintain proper records of customer enquiries, quotations, selections, approvals, and follow-ups.
• Inform the concerned team immediately regarding customer complaints, changes, or special requirements.
• Follow up with customers after installation to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain good customer relationships and support repeat business and referrals.

Required Skills

• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Basic to good knowledge of interior production materials is mandatory.
• Knowledge of modular furniture and interior products is preferred.
• Ability to understand material specifications and explain them clearly to customers.
• Good coordination and follow-up skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel, Word, WhatsApp, and email.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and complete follow-ups on time.
• Positive attitude, professional behaviour, and willingness to learn.

Preferred Experience

1–3 years of experience in customer relations, interior sales, modular furniture, interior production, or a related field is preferred.

• Proper and timely customer follow-up.
• Accurate communication of material and product information.
• Timely coordination between customer, design, production, and site teams.
• Minimum customer complaints due to communication gaps.
