Customer Service / Operations – Air Freight Forwarding

We are a fast-paced, growing expedited freight forwarder looking for motivated individuals to join our Customer Service and Operations team. We currently have a couple of positions available and are looking for people who can thrive in a busy environment where priorities can change quickly.

This is not a position where every day looks the same. Our customers rely on us for time-sensitive and expedited shipments, so we need team members who can multitask, communicate well, think on their feet, and stay organized when things get busy.

Work Schedule Options – Second Shift

• Sunday through Thursday
• Tuesday through Saturday
• Friday through Monday

Time Options

• 1pm to 10pm
• 3pm to 12am

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor expedited and air freight shipments from pickup through final delivery
• Communicate with customers, drivers, carriers, airlines, and other service providers
• Provide customers with timely and accurate shipment updates
• Enter, update, and maintain shipment information in our transportation management system
• Schedule pickups and deliveries and coordinate special handling requirements
• Track shipments and proactively address potential delays or service issues
• Obtain PODs and other required shipment documentation
• Respond to customer emails and phone calls in a professional and timely manner
• Work closely with other operations team members to ensure proper coverage and smooth handoffs
• Troubleshoot problems and help find solutions when shipments do not go according to plan
• Handle multiple shipments, emails, phone calls, and priorities simultaneously
• Maintain accurate notes and documentation on all shipments
• Assist with other customer service and operational responsibilities as needed

Experience

Previous experience in air freight forwarding, expedited transportation, logistics, dispatch, or customer service is a plus, but we are also willing to consider the right person who has strong computer skills, a great work ethic, and the ability to learn quickly.
