Customer Service Representative / Account Coordinator

Enterprise Envelope and Print Media is a locally owned and growing commercial printing and envelope company in Grand Rapids. We’re looking for a Customer Service Representative / Account Coordinator to become an important part of our customer service and production team.

Commercial printing experience is strongly preferred.

Our company is growing and expanding our in-house commercial printing capabilities. This position is a great fit for someone who already understands the printing industry and enjoys working with customers, estimating jobs and helping move projects from an idea to a finished product.

What You’ll Do

• Work directly with customers by phone and email to understand their printing needs
• Enter and manage orders in our print management system
• Gather complete job specifications including quantities, sizes, page counts, paper stocks, colors, finishing and delivery requirements
• Help estimate and price commercial printing projects
• Set up jobs correctly for production
• Understand and communicate specifications for products such as envelopes, flyers, brochures, booklets, postcards, forms and other commercial print products
• Coordinate artwork, proofs and customer approvals
• Work closely with prepress and production to make sure jobs are set up correctly
• Follow jobs through production and keep customers informed
• Help determine the appropriate production method for different projects
• Coordinate outside purchases and services when necessary
• Build strong relationships with customers and become someone they know and trust
• Help identify and solve problems before they become production or customer-service issues

Print Experience Is a Big Plus

We’re especially interested in candidates with experience in a commercial printing company, print shop, print estimating, print customer service or print production environment.

Experience understanding any of the following would be especially valuable:

• Digital and offset printing
• Commercial print estimating
• Flat size vs. finished size
• Page counts and booklet construction
• Paper stocks and weights
• Bleeds and basic prepress requirements
• Folding, cutting, scoring and other finishing operations
• Saddle stitching and booklet production
• 1-color, 2-color and 4-color process printing
• Outside purchasing and trade vendors

You do not need to know everything on this list. We have an experienced team and will train the right person. However, previous commercial printing experience will be a significant advantage.
