EXPERIENCE WORKING FOR A BANK IS REQUIRED

POSITION SUMMARY

Manages all branch operations together with the Branch Manager, including but not limited to the following: new business development, retention of current business/consumer customer relationships. Acquire and maintain the knowledge and ability to perform, explain, mentor, train and coach any and all functions of each branch position, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed by branch personnel. Perform various clerical and administrative functions related to opening customer accounts, and ensuring branch staff is providing all Bank services expected standards, thus building profitable customer relationships. Manages the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Interview customers to explain and obtain information needed to open new accounts such as checking, savings, Certificates of Deposit, and other bank products.

· Network within communities to find and attract new business. Required to attend and represent the bank at various community functions. Do business retail calls and customer calls as required by administrator

· Originate and close consumer loan applications, order credit reports, collect required documentation, enter into Mortgage Bot when applicable and forward to underwriters for approval.

· Refer Commercial loans to appointed lender adhering to the bank’s policy and procedures.

· Refer Residential Mortgage loans to appointed Mortgage Originator.

· Maintain NMLS # in the Federal Registry (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System)

· Answers customers' questions, explain, and cross sell all available services such as deposit accounts, debit cards, online banking, express banking, overdraft protection, business account products and various loan services.

· Compile information about new accounts, enter account information into computers, and file related forms or other documents.

· Investigate and correct errors upon customers' request, according to customer and bank records, assist customers with account inquiries, balancing accounts, change of addresses, order debit cards, order checks, etc.

· Process stop payments, holds, releases, and account transfers.

· Refer Merchant accounts for businesses that want to accept credit cards.

· Type documents and correspondence to customers as needed. Process paperwork for bonds.

· In conjunction with the Branch Manager, responsible for the administration and safe, profitable operations of the branch office, including teller operations, security, new accounts, audits, etc. Including monitoring monthly branch goals.

· Must have wide knowledge of bank operations in order to take over branch operations in the absence of the Branch Manager. Example: ATM duties, opening and closing, sales calls etc.
