Job Overview

Tyler Johnson Agency is growing, and we're looking for a driven Customer Service Representative who wants more than just a typical customer service job.

We're looking for someone who is confident, competitive, dependable, and great with people. You'll take care of our existing customers while also identifying opportunities to improve their coverage and grow the agency.

Insurance experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person with the right attitude and work ethic.

Salary Range: $30,000.00 - $36,000.00 per year

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to pursue relevant insurance certifications or licenses as required by the state (will help you achieve these)
• Previous experience in customer service preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with customers.
• Able to use a computer, type and work within multiple systems at once
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to existing customers
• Handle billing, policy changes, coverage questions, and account updates
• Build relationships and help retain customers
• Review accounts and identify coverage gaps
• Cross-sell additional insurance products when appropriate
• Follow up with customers on policy and coverage opportunities
• Assist with renewals and retention
• Work with the team to hit agency goals
• Take ownership of customer issues from start to finish
