About Continental Paper Grading

Continental Paper Grading is a Chicago-area recycling and paper brokerage company that has been in business for over 100 years. We work with customers and paper mills across the country to manage recyclable paper materials and coordinate transportation to end markets.

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our Hodgkins, IL team. This is a hands-on role that combines customer service, transportation coordination, data entry, and day-to-day logistics operations.

What You'll Do

• Schedule and coordinate truck pickups with customers, carriers, and receiving facilities
• Track scheduled pickups and follow up on shipments to ensure everything stays on schedule
• Communicate with customers and trucking companies regarding pickup times, loads, and delivery details
• Prepare and issue Bills of Lading (BOLs) for customer pickups
• Prepare receiving reports and other documentation for customers
• Enter and maintain shipment, pickup, and load information accurately
• Help resolve scheduling, transportation, and documentation issues as they arise
• Communicate internally with our sales and operations teams to keep loads moving efficiently
• Provide professional and responsive customer service to customers and transportation partners
• Assist with other administrative and logistics-related tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required. College education or coursework in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus. Recent college grads welcome to apply.
• Previous experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, trucking, or operations is strongly preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working with schedules, paperwork, and multiple moving parts
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with computers, email, and basic office software
• Ability to work independently while also being part of a team

Logistics or transportation experience is a strong plus, particularly experience scheduling trucks, coordinating pickups, tracking shipments, or working with BOLs and freight documentation. Experience using Rimas is a plus.
