Customer Service Representative – The UPS Store Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at The UPS Store.

The successful candidate will assist customers with shipping, packaging, printing, mailbox services, and other retail services while providing excellent customer service.

Important: This position requires flexibility to work at all four of our The UPS Store locations as needed. The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence and their own reliable vehicle to travel between store locations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Assist customers with UPS and DHL shipping services, including domestic and international shipments.
• Accurately enter customer and shipment information into computer systems.
• Assist customers with packaging services and properly prepare items for shipment.
• Help customers with printing, photocopying, scanning, faxing, document finishing, and other print services.
• Assist with mailbox rentals, renewals, package receiving, and customer notifications.
• Process payments and operate the POS/cash register system accurately.
• Answer customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and by email.
• Provide shipping estimates and explain available service options to customers.
• Assist customers with basic international shipping and customs documentation.
• Recommend appropriate products and services based on customer needs.
• Receive, organize, and handle customer packages and store deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment.
• Complete opening and closing duties when required.
• Work independently and responsibly when scheduled.
• Travel between our four The UPS Store locations depending on staffing and business requirements.
• Perform other store-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Previous customer service or retail experience is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working with computers, email, printers, scanners, and POS systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills.
• Ability to learn shipping, packaging, printing, and mailbox procedures.
• Friendly, professional, and confident when dealing with customers.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.
• Must be comfortable handling and lifting packages as part of regular store operations.
• Must have a valid driver’s licence.
• Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle.
• Must be willing and able to work at any of our four store locations as required.
• Availability for different shifts, including weekdays and weekends, is preferred.
• Additional language skills are an asset but are not required.

Pay: $17.60-$19.60 per hour
