Customer Service Representative

About the client and role

Our client is a recycling company which also manufactures multiple products for their clients. They are looking for somebody with a great attitude and previous customer service experience to join their team.

The Customer Service Representative is the first point of contact for APR Recycling's customers, handling enquiries, bookings, and account matters relating to recycling and waste collection services.

The role delivers a professional, accurate, and friendly service experience, helping the business maintain strong customer relationships and smooth day-to-day operations.

The role starts as a casual with the transition to permenant after 3 months.

• Full time hours, Monday- friday
• Pay rate: $35.30

Key Responsibilites

• Answer incoming phone calls
• Manage the customer service inbox
• Create bookings for customer services
• Complete all dockets and reports, and input into Wastedge where necessary
• Accurately enter data into industry-specific software platforms (Wastedge)
• Perform weighbridge operations
• Complete export data entry and bookings
• Enter and action contamination reports
• Change customer schedules as needed/requested
• Establish and set up new customer accounts within the Wastedge system
• Support the Customer Service and Sales team
• Perform filing and scanning
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role (preferred but not essential)
• Experience in a detail-oriented, dynamic workplace
• Knowledge of the recycling industry advantageous, but not essential

• Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders through well-developed

written and verbal communication

• Willingness to "get your hands dirty" obtaining the information needed for the role
• Good attention to detail while maintaining quality
• High-level problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel/Word/Outlook)
• A collaborative team player who also works well independently
