About Us:

Moving of America is a family-owned moving and storage company serving New Jersey and beyond. Since 2007, we have built our reputation around professional service, clear communication, careful planning, and a commitment to providing our customers with a better moving experience.

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our Ridgefield, NJ team.

This is an important role within our company. You will often be the first person a customer speaks with and a key point of contact throughout their moving and storage experience. The right candidate will be professional, friendly, detail-oriented, comfortable on the phone, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced office environment.

Position Overview:

As a Customer Service Representative, you will assist customers with questions, appointments, scheduling, service requests, and general support.

You will communicate with customers by phone, email, and other communication channels while documenting important details, coordinating with our internal team, and following up to make sure customer needs are handled properly.

Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming phone calls promptly, professionally, and courteously.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers before, during, and after their move.
  • Assist customers with questions regarding moving, packing, storage, scheduling, and related services.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, estimates, moving dates, and customer follow-ups.
  • Accurately enter and update customer information in company systems.
  • Maintain detailed notes regarding customer conversations, requests, concerns, and service updates.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure questions and concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Communicate important customer information to operations, sales, management, and moving crews when necessary.
  • Help coordinate changes to schedules, appointments, and customer requests.
  • Monitor emails, phone messages, and outstanding customer service matters.
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and work toward appropriate resolutions.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy when entering customer and job information.
  • Build positive relationships with customers through clear, friendly, and professional communication.
  • Manage multiple calls, messages, appointments, and administrative tasks throughout the day.
  • Assist with general office and administrative responsibilities as needed.
  • Follow company procedures while helping maintain an organized and efficient office environment.

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities and understands that excellent customer service requires more than simply answering the phone.

You should be someone who follows through, keeps accurate records, communicates clearly, and makes sure important details do not fall through the cracks.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous customer service, receptionist, office, dispatch, scheduling, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Moving, transportation, logistics, hospitality, or service-industry experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong phone and active-listening skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Comfortable working on a computer throughout the workday.
  • Ability to learn and use CRM, scheduling, email, and office software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate note-taking skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Ability to remain professional and courteous when handling difficult or time-sensitive situations.
  • Dependable, punctual, and accountable.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change throughout the day.

What Success Looks Like in This Role:

A successful Customer Service Representative at Moving of America:

  • Answers customers promptly and professionally.
  • Keeps customer and job information accurate and organized.
  • Follows through on open questions and customer concerns.
  • Communicates clearly with both customers and coworkers.
  • Notices problems before they become bigger issues.
  • Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Handles a busy workload without sacrificing attention to detail.
  • Helps create a positive experience for every customer.

Why Join Us:

  • Join an established moving and storage company serving customers since 2007.
  • Work with a growing, team-oriented organization.
  • Gain experience across customer service, scheduling, operations, and logistics.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and increased responsibility.
  • Work in an environment where initiative and strong performance are recognized.
  • Help customers through one of the most important and stressful transitions in their lives.

How to Apply:

If you are dependable, organized, comfortable communicating with customers, and able to thrive in a busy office environment, we encourage you to apply.

Please submit your resume through Indeed. In your application, tell us about your customer service, office, scheduling, administrative, or related experience and why you believe you would be a strong addition to the Moving of America team.
