Role Description

TITLE: Customer Service Representative

DEPARTMENT: Operations

FLSA: Hourly (Non-Exempt)

POSITION LEVEL: Line

SCHEDULE: 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri

This position is temp to hire. Conversion from temp to regular FTE will be evaluated after 6 months.

Position Objective:

Provide customer service and assistance to customers, outside sales, and operations teams. The position will report to the Branch Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Not required for this role

Essential Functions:

• Initiate outbound calls to customers to discuss products, solutions, and potential value adds
• Participates in promotional campaigns, effectively conveying special offers, discounts, and promotions to customers
• Answer incoming phone calls, disburse messages, and manage email flow
• Submit sales orders to the appropriate software
• Understand the ERP application at a beginner level
• Perform customer service functions
• Enter direct ship orders and purchase orders into the applicable program
• Understands and interprets technical language regarding pump sizing, including GPM, TDH, power requirement voltage, phase, amps
• Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification

Experience Required:

• Experience in a customer service environment that handles both inbound and outbound phone calls
• Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook at a basic level
• Experience in agricultural, residential, or industrial pumping
• Experience with rotating equipment, liquid pumps, and motors

Education Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 1 to 2 years of previous experience in inside sales or customer service roles

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to remain at a stationary position 50% of the time
• Ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds
• Ability to work overtime

Work Environment:

• The duties of the job are primarily performed in an office environment
• There is some exposure to noise in the work environment, which is usually moderate
• This position is not eligible for telework
