Customer Service Representative / Estimator

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service & Inside Estimating Coordinator to manage incoming customer inquiries, qualify service requests, prepare preliminary estimates, and convert leads into booked jobs.

This is not a traditional call-center position. The ideal candidate understands residential repairs and maintenance, can ask customers the right questions, review photos and job details, estimate labor requirements, and confidently explain pricing.

Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming calls, texts, emails, and online leads
• Build rapport with customers and identify their needs
• Ask detailed questions to properly define the scope of work
• Review customer photos, measurements, and project descriptions
• Prepare preliminary estimates for common handyman projects
• Schedule appointments and coordinate technician availability
• Follow up on open estimates and unscheduled leads
• Accurately enter customer, job, and estimate information into ServiceTitan
• Explain pricing, deposits, and service expectations
• Maintain a lead-booking rate of at least 50%
• Communicate clearly with technicians regarding project requirements
• Identify projects that require an in-person assessment

Common projects may include drywall repair, painting, door installation, trim carpentry, fixture replacement, deck repairs, flooring, minor plumbing, and general home maintenance.

Qualifications:

• At least two years of customer service, dispatching, inside sales, estimating, or home-services experience
• Working knowledge of residential repairs, construction, remodeling, or property maintenance
• Ability to estimate labor hours and recognize common materials
• Strong phone communication and sales skills
• Comfortable discussing pricing and asking customers to book
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
• Comfortable learning ServiceTitan and other business software
• Ability to review photographs and gather measurements remotely

Preferred Experience:

• Handyman, remodeling, restoration, property management, construction, or home-services experience
• Previous experience preparing estimates or work orders
• ServiceTitan experience
• Experience following up with leads and closing sales

Compensation:

• $20–$25 per hour, based on experience
• Performance incentives based on booking rate, completed revenue, and estimate follow-up
• Full-time, in-office/hybrid position
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, [8am-5pm]
