Customer Service Representative/Accounts Payable STE

The Customer Service Representative / Accounts Payable position is responsible for providing excellent customer support while accurately managing accounts payable functions. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers and vendors, ensuring timely communication, accurate invoicing, and efficient payment processing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely conduct all tasks and behaviors and comply with all Hawkeye Metal Spinning Safety Policies, including the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, as outlined in the Safety Manual.
• Enter customer Purchase Orders and prepare job travelers for production according to protocol.
• Match invoices from vendors with packing slips and purchase orders and verify amounts received and prices.
• Expedite and follow-through on assigned customers’ orders.
• Follow-up on all customer inquiries and requests.
• Complete accurate daily records (date, times, quantities of parts ran, and scrap) on Shop Travelers and in the ERP system.
• Ensures invoices are entered into AP folder.
• Communicate with quality control and shop personnel on any problems or concerns with parts, potential delivery issues, and customer requirements.
• Communicate with office staff regarding responsibilities and follow-up that must be completed when out of the office.
• Initiating ACH and check payments, and sending ACH remittance to vendors.
• Collaborate with Corporate on vendor W-9s, customer resale certificates.
• Reconcile Hawkeye Metal Spinning credit cards monthly.
• Own the purchasing function and ensure all purchases are appropriate by communicating with all necessary Teammates.
• Communicate any concerns/questions readily with Teammates.
• Conduct all business interactions in a professional manner.
• Follow instructions from all Hawkeye Metal Spinning documentation, including Shop Traveler, Inspection Sheets, and blueprints.
• Accept responsibility for the quality of products/services provided in accordance with the Hawkeye Metal Spinning Quality Manual.
• Maintain assigned work area in a clean and orderly manner and comply with all 5S procedures.

• Conduct all tasks and behaviors in a safe manner and comply with all JBT Machining Safety Policies, including the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, as outlined in the Hawkeye Metal Spinning Safety Manual.
• Maintain all required documentation.
• Perform other office duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or GED is required. Formal education or experience may be substituted with training when competency in the position is demonstrated.

Working Conditions:

This is a safety sensitive position. This work is performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to machinery and equipment processes. This position requires the use of personal protective equipment for safety compliance and may include overtime as deemed necessary by management.
