About the role

This is a permanent part-time opportunity working 24 hours per week across three days, offering excellent work-life balance while remaining connected to a dynamic and supportive team.

In this varied and hands on role, you'll be responsible for making customer deliveries while providing knowledgeable sales advice and outstanding service to a diverse range of horticultural and agricultural customers.

When you're not out on the road, you'll play an important part in the day-to-day operation of the store. This includes stock management, picking and packing orders, bulk storage duties, sales processing, and supporting customers with their enquiries.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes initiative, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. Experience as a driver, courier, or within a warehouse or logistics environment would be highly regarded, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift within the store and undertake truck driving duties for customer deliveries
• Provide advice and support to customers
• Resolve enquiries from customers, suppliers, and team members
• Efficiently process sales transactions and product requests
• Order, unpack, and merchandise stock in line with company guidelines.

Skills and experience:

• A current Class 2 licence and clean New Zealand driver's licence are essential
• A team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves and contribute to great results
• Good physical fitness, with the ability to safely lift up to 20kg
• Previous retail and/or sales experience is advantageous but not essential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
