Customer Service- Retail Bakery

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting bakery products with enthusiasm and detailed product knowledge
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Conduct product demos and explain features to encourage sales and enhance customer experience
• Maintain attractive merchandising displays that highlight bakery items and promote upselling opportunities
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring satisfaction
• Manage time effectively to handle multiple customers efficiently during busy periods
• Uphold cleanliness standards in the bakery area and ensure proper product rotation and stock organization

Qualifications

• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Previous retail sales or customer service experience, preferably in a food or bakery setting, is preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently and professionally
• Basic math skills for cash handling, pricing, and inventory management
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and merchandising techniques
• Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills and time management to prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional communication standards

Pay: $19.50-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 24.0 per week
