What they need

About the Role
I am currently recruiting on behalf of an innovative Kiwi company specialising in automated dairy farming equipment. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Customer Service Technician to support a growing global dealer network and farmer customer base.
This is a practical role combining technical support, customer training, and hands-on involvement in production.
This position involves regular international travel, with approximately four trips per year lasting around three weeks each, primarily to Europe and the United States.
During these trips, you’ll work directly with dealers and farmers—supporting installation, fault finding and troubleshooting, and delivering training in real-world farming environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to dealers and farmers via phone, email and onsite visits.
  • Deliver hands-on training to farmers and dealers on installation, operation, and maintenance
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in equipment
  • Assist in developing user manuals, FAQs, and troubleshooting resources
  • Assist with production through assembly, testing, and quality control
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve product performance
  • Build strong product knowledge through hands-on production work
  • Capture field insights from farms and dealers to support product development

About You
You’re practical, adaptable, and confident working in hands-on in an electrical or mechanical engineering environment. You enjoy problem-solving in the field and building strong relationships with rural customers.
You will bring:

  • Preferably a background in industrial electrical engineering, mechanical/electrical maintenance, or similar.
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability
  • Confidence diagnosing issues across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to relate to farmers and rural operators across the globe
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally for extended periods

What’s on Offer

  • A unique role within the agri-tech sector
  • Significant international travel and exposure to global farming operations
  • Strong product training through hands-on production experience
  • Opportunity to work closely with farmers, dealers, and technical teams
  • Career growth as the business expands globally

Apply Now
If you're a technically minded problem-solver and you're excited by a role that combines hands-on work with international travel, we’d love to hear from you.
