We currently have an excellent job opportunity for a Full-Time Customer Service / Counter Sales Assistant This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to join a successful company.

The Counter Sales Assistant will be responsible for dealing with the day to day sales enquiries/ transactions and maintaining high standards of customer care within the store.

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Respond to sales enquiries either by phone or over the counter, provide advice, information and quotations.
• Understand customer’s expectations and needs.
• Keep customers updated on orders and deliveries.
• Stay updated with product knowledge.
• Perform day to day shop floor activities.
• Perform stores activities, receive goods, update stock system, make deliveries.
• Adhere to health, safety and environment rules and regulations.
• Any other reasonable duties which may arise.

Person Specification

The following criteria will be used in the selection process. Only those applicants who meet the essential criteria will be shortlisted for interview. The Company reserves the right to initially shortlist those candidates who meet both essential and desirable criteria.

Essential

• Previous customer facing experience in a trade or similar environment.
• Experience in the sale or installation of heating and plumbing products.
• Must be extremely customer focused, providing an excellent level of service.
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be willing to adapt and take on new challenges and be flexible to the business requirements.
• Full clean valid driver’s license.
• Computer Literate.
• Be physically fit.
• Ensure highest standards of merchandising and presentation of the store.
• Have the ability to work on their own initiative or as a team player.
• Desirable
• Sales experience and/ or product knowledge in heating, plumbing, tiles, bathrooms and light hardware an advantage.
• Forklift Driving experience.
