Customer Service/General Assistant

Job Type: Part-time initially, with the opportunity to progress to full-time (up to 40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday).

About Us: R&R Motor Group is a friendly, independent, family-run business based in Rotherham. We operate across several areas, including vehicle sales, vehicle servicing and repairs, van hire, and garden building sales. We're looking for a reliable, friendly and approachable person to join our small team and help with the day-to-day running of our business.

The Role: This is a varied position where no two days are necessarily the same.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Answering telephone calls and dealing with general customer enquiries.
• Welcoming customers visiting our premises.
• Assisting customers interested in purchasing vehicles or garden buildings.
• Helping with vehicle hire collections and returns, including basic vehicle checks.
• Taking photographs of vehicles and garden buildings.
• Creating and updating Facebook Marketplace adverts and online listings.
• Assisting with general administration and keeping records up to date.
• Helping with other day-to-day tasks as required.

We are not looking for an experienced salesperson or someone with lots of qualifications. We are looking for the right person.

Ideally, you'll be:

• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
• Friendly, approachable and confident speaking to people.
• Comfortable answering telephone calls and dealing with customers.
• Able to use a computer, smartphone and social media.
• Willing to learn and take on different tasks.
• Happy working independently when required.
• Someone who can use their initiative and find productive things to do during quieter periods.

Previous experience in the motor trade is not essential, as training will be provided.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
