Customer Service/Sales Representative

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Car Buyer to join our team. This position is responsible for purchasing vehicles from the public, providing outstanding customer service, coordinating vehicle pickups, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the buying process.The ideal candidate is comfortable speaking with customers both over the phone and in person, can multitask in a fast-paced environment, and has strong computer and organizational skills. Previous automotive or salvage experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and assist customers selling their vehicles.
• Evaluate vehicles and provide competitive purchase quotes.
• Negotiate purchases while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Enter accurate customer and vehicle information into company databases.
• Utilize multiple software programs to process purchases and manage transactions.
• Maintain organized and accurate documentation for every vehicle purchase.
• Schedule vehicle pickups with customers.
• Dispatch tow truck drivers and coordinate daily pickup schedules.
• Communicate with tow drivers to ensure timely and efficient pickups.
• Verify ownership documents and ensure all required paperwork is complete.
• Follow company policies and state regulations regarding vehicle purchases.
• Build positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Work closely with office staff, buyers, and yard personnel to ensure smooth operations.

• Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable learning and working in multiple computer software programs.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and data entry experience preferred).
• Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions independently.
• Automotive, towing, or salvage industry experience is a plus but not required.
