Customer Service/Tram Driver/Naturalist I

Position Information: Full-time, Part-time, Hourly

Position Summary

This position is responsible for facilitating interpretive experiences for Everglades National Park visitors.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have a valid FL driver’s license and have/maintain an acceptable safe driving record.
• Must be able to learn and demonstrate safe operation of the trams, including responding appropriately and assisting in potential emergency situations.
• Ability to work independently, with general direction from leadership.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, including ability to speak and present well in front of crowds and maintain control of large groups.
• Highly motivated and organized with high energy and a positive team player attitude.
• Ability to master and then deliver an interpretive program that is both fun and engaging in manner with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast paced environment.
• Consistently demonstrate excellent guest interactions and hospitality skills at all times. Maintain a friendly, courteous attitude toward guests and give assistance whenever possible.

Other Requirements:

• Conducts all activities in alignment with National Park Service standards and guidelines, all relevant laws and regulations, safety standards, and standards that ensure visitor welfare.
• Must be able to withstand typical Florida climate.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds, bend over, and move quickly when necessary
• Must be willing and able to work holidays and weekends.
