Customization Experience Associate (Seasonal)

Moleskine is looking for Customization Experience Associates to operate our Moleskine Customization Carts within select Barnes & Noble locations during the holiday season. In this role, you'll personalize Moleskine notebooks, engage customers in conversations about the brand and our products, and help create memorable gifting experiences. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in craftsmanship, and can work independently in a fast-paced environment.

The Moleskine Customization Cart operates Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Multiple associates will be hired to share coverage during these operating hours.

What You'll Do

• Inspire Expression – Share the story of Moleskine and help customers discover notebooks that support creativity, organization, and self-expression.
• Create Personalized Experiences – Customize Moleskine notebooks using approved techniques while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Guide & Recommend – Engage customers, answer questions, and recommend notebooks based on their needs and interests.
• Create Experiences – Deliver a welcoming, engaging environment that reflects the Moleskine brand.
• Work with Independence – Manage customer interactions, personalization requests, and daily responsibilities independently.
• Keep It Beautiful – Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and presentation of the customization cart.
• Stay Hands-On – Support cart setup and breakdown, monitor supplies, and maintain inventory levels.
• Maintain Quality Standards – Ensure every personalized notebook is completed accurately and professionally.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail, customer service, hospitality, or other customer-facing experience.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Availability to work scheduled shifts during customization cart operating hours, including Saturdays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 45 lbs., including assisting with setup, stocking, and upkeep of the customization cart.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with personalization, engraving, monogramming, crafting, art, or other detail-oriented hands-on work.
• Experience operating personalization, embossing, heat-stamping, or customization equipment.
• Experience representing a brand at events, pop-ups, retail activations, or other customer-facing experiences.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Experience working in high-volume customer environments.
