Customs Broker

About the role

This is a hands-on Customs Broker role suited to someone who enjoys the day-to-day customs work and wants to be part of an experienced team. You will have a minimum of 5 years' freight forwarding customs brokerage experience and be confident managing import and export customs entries from start to finish.

Key responsibilities:

• Completing approximately 80-100 customs entries per week
• Working with NZ Customs, MPI and other relevant government agencies
• Handling customs queries, tariff classification and compliance requirements
• Maintaining accurate records, KPI requirements and service timeframes
• Communicating with clients and internal teams
• Providing customs-related customer service and resolving queries
• Keeping up to date with changes to Customs and MPI requirements
• General customs duties and other responsibilities as required

About you:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in freight forwarding customs brokerage
• NZ Customs Broker pin
• Strong knowledge of import and export customs processes
• Good attention to detail and compliance
• Able to work efficiently and meet weekly entry targets
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Reliable & Team player
• Understands how to prioritise the entry workbench

Additional Details:

• Monday to Friday
• Two days' work from home offered.
