Customs Declarant

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, encode, and file Import/Export Entry Declarations through the BOC Electronic-to-Mobile (E2M) system.
• Ensure accuracy of declared information such as HS codes, tariff duties, taxes, and valuation.
• Coordinate with the Licensed Customs Broker and clients regarding documentation requirements for shipments.
• Verify supporting documents (commercial invoice, bill of lading/airway bill, packing list, permits, etc.) prior to filing.
• Monitor and track the status of lodged entries and immediately address any issues or queries from BOC examiners.
• Liaise with BOC, port operators, and other government agencies (e.g., DA, FDA, DENR) to secure necessary permits or clearances.
• Ensure compliance with all customs rules, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of all lodged entries, permits, and clearances for audit purposes.
• Assist in resolving disputes, discrepancies, or red-tagged shipments.
• Perform other related tasks that may be assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Customs Administration, Business Administration, or related field (a plus if a Licensed Customs Broker, but not required).
• At least 1–2 years experience in customs documentation, import/export declaration, or port operations.
• Knowledgeable in BOC procedures, customs tariffs, and trade regulations.
• Familiarity with E2M, VASP systems, and port procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
